Root Canal Therapy

Every tooth has a space in the middle where the nerves live. If your tooth becomes chronically irritated, inflamed, or infected, the nerve may been to be removed. This allows the tooth itself to stay in your jaws and continue to be used. Teeth that have had root canal treatment (i.e. nerve removed from middle of tooth) will often need larger restorations, sometimes even crowns, to build them back up into use.

Root canal therapy, or Endodontics, sometimes gets a bad rap, treatment for a root canal should not hurt. If the root canal was inappropriate for a tooth in the first place, or the crown is not properly treated, the root can fail. We will thoroughly assess if this is the right treatment for you.
